In both the manga and the anime, Tomo poses as a citizen of the mirage version of Sairou...and he looked and sounded quite androgynous. In the original Japanese voice over, the character was obviously voiced by Nobuo Tobita, but in a more feminine manner. The character's gender was not addressed in the first instance, but was referred to as a "lady" in the second.
In the English dub, Chichiri addressed Tomo's double as a woman, saying "ma'am" on the first encounter. Tasuki referred the double as a "hostess" on the second instance. Like in the original Japanese version, the character was obviously voiced by a man in both scenarios.
In the French version, Chichiri addressed the double as a man, calling him "monsieur." The character spoke with a smooth deep masculine voice. Even as a "hostess," the character didn't even bother hiding his masculine voice.
In Tagalog, this character was voiced by a woman in both scenarios...because Tomo actually sounded like a gruff man in this version.
