Second post of the day because IT'S TOMO'S BIRTHDAY!!!
There are two different stage productions of FUSHIGI YUUGI. One is BUTAI (theatrical drama) and the other is the Musical. Butai has been around for almost 10 years. The Musical is relatively new, in which the release of the Seiryuu arc was as recent as of October 2018.
In the musical, Tomo was portrayed by Kenta Kida. From what I've seen in some clips, his portrayal has a different interpretation of Tomo. His personality is somewhat more vividly fickle, as his mood changes from pure confidence and smugness to sheer embarrassment and annoyance, which added a comedic approach to the character. He too possessed dynamic movements that were very dancer-like. From the looks of these trailers and promotional images, he's probably a scene stealer as well (I have yet to watch it, so I don't know).
